Nordic Hygge: Textured Winterscape

An escape from tropical heat into quiet Scandinavian winter night.

This 3-hour class focuses on minimalism and comfort, showing you how much atmosphere and tranquility you can create with a strict, limited palette of deep blues, crisp whites, and a single inviting warm accent light.

The Workshop Flow

The core of this workshop is mastering the calm structure of winter terrain. You will learn some practical tricks using the palette knife to build clean mountain planes and layer realistic, heavy snow drifts.

By pairing the palette knife with smooth brushwork for the sky and water, we will create a beautiful, balanced landscape.

The Architecture of Snow: We space our steps strategically, giving layers of palette knife work time to set. Then the snow will naturally fall on, and slide off the rocks in a clean swipe stroke on top!

As the acrylic paint dries quickly, you will build these thick, beautiful textures step-by-step without any muddy layers. By the end of the session, your painting will be fully dry, and ready to carry home to bring a sense of hygge to your favourite room.
