Each hexagonal canvas stands beautifully on its own, or can be combined with those of friends and loved ones to form a larger honeycomb collection—creating a meaningful artwork that celebrates connection, community, and creativity.
The Workshop Flow
Over three sessions, you’ll build your artwork step by step, learning techniques for creating realistic honey effects, understanding composition within an unconventional canvas shape, and bringing the bee to life through texture, colour, and detail.
Discover how to blend colours and values to achieve the luminous amber glow that gives honey its rich translucency. You’ll also explore techniques for painting the bee’s delicate wings, using subtle layers of light and transparency to create elegance and realism.
Drying Time
As this workshop uses oil paints, your artwork will require time to fully cure. You may choose to leave your painting safely at our studio for approximately one week after the final session before collection, or take it home with you after each session if preferred.
