A tiny farmhouse beneath an expansive stormy sky—simple in composition, yet rich in drama and atmosphere. In this workshop, you’ll discover how contrast in values, colours, textures, and scale can transform a landscape into a compelling visual story.

Designed to be beginner-friendly, this session introduces the foundations of composition and atmospheric landscape painting. Learn how a few thoughtfully placed elements can create depth, movement, and emotional impact.

The Workshop Flow

Explore the basics of sketching and composition using simple principles that guide the eye through a landscape. Learn how dramatic contrasts between moody skies and golden fields create a powerful sense of atmosphere.

You’ll also discover brush techniques and practical tips that make blending skies, creating textures, and painting expressive landscapes feel intuitive and effortless.

Drying Time

As this workshop uses oil paints, your artwork will require time to fully cure. You may choose to leave your painting safely at our studio for approximately one week before collection, or take it home with you on the day of the workshop.

What’s Included

All painting materials and tools: Canvas (30cm x 30cm), artist-grade oil paints, brushes, apron, and everything you need to complete your artwork.

A thoughtfully curated studio experience: Warm, moody music and an intimate atmosphere designed to help you slow down and enjoy the creative process.
